Birdwatching in Sichuan China May/June 2005
Follow us to Sichuan for some of the richest birdwatching in Asia.
From the
lush rainforests of the lower hills to the barren scree and eternal snow of
the Himalayas, Sichuan boasts a variety of habitats unrivalled in China and
indeed hard to find anywhere else on earth. On our tour we shall visit all
of these habitats and find birds representing a good cross-section of the
Eastern Palearctic Avifauna, featuring subtropical fulvettas and warblers,
temperate laughinghthrushes and pheasants, boreal woodpeckers and owls as
well as alpine rosefinches and snowcocks.
We have worked out the details of
this Aves Tour during a long visit to the region in 2003. You are referred
to our trip report for more information.
